Baked Tilapia with Garlic Butter

This simple and quick Tilapia recipe that will have you wanting more. Learn how to cook this popular fish and impress yourself and your friends.

Ingredients:

  • 4 to 6 medium size tilapia fillets
  • 2 small sweet onions, sliced
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic crushed
  • 1/8 tsp of Old Bay seasoning
  • salt to taste
How to cook baked Tilapia with garlic butter:  

1. Clean and rinse the fish fillets thoroughly.
2. Lightly smear a little butter into the bottom of your baking dish.
3. Place the fillets onto the baking dish.
4. Place garlic, Old Bay seasoning and butter into a saucepan and melt lightly.
5. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the tilapia fillets.
6. Place onion slices over top of tilapia fillets.
7. Place the baking dish into a preheated oven set to 350 degrees.
8. Let it bake until done, which should be approximately 12 to 14 minutes.

Serve with some fresh steamed vegetables for a quick and easy meal. You can also squeeze a small amount of lemon juice onto your tilapia fillets to add some acidity.
